The two local airports are Bordeaux and Bergerac. Bordeaux is just over an hour away by car, but Bergerac is only about 30 minutes.
British Airways fly to Bordeaux from Gatwick, and Easyjet fly there from Gatwick, Luton and Bristol, as well as a number of European airports.
There are also Ryanair flights from Edinburgh and other European cities. Air France flies to Bordeaux from Paris.
Ryanair flies to Bergerac from Stansted, Liverpool, East Midlands and Bristol in the UK and Brussels (Charelroi) in Belgium.
Flybe flies to Bergerac from Birmingham, Exeter, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, London Gatwick, and Southampton. There are also daily flights from Paris Orly by Twinjet
All the major car hire firms are both at Bordeaux and Bergerac airports: ADA, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National/Citer.

We do recommend that visitors have a car whilst they stay at La Matha - the house is quite remote, and taxis are not easy to come by!
You can get to Bordeaux by TGV from Paris - a journey of about three hours. From Bordeaux, you can take a train to St Foy La Grande (about 10km away) and then a taxi to Caplong. Alternatively, hire cars are available from Bordeaux mainline train station.
La Matha is around 570 miles (915km) from Calais, which will take a good 10 hours' drive.
